The Saint Jerome University College of Havana is located in a modern building covering the Mercaderes, San Ignacio, Obispo and O´Reilly streets, in the heart of the historic center of the Cuban capital. It was founded in 2007. Despite its modernity, the building preserves the façade and bell tower of the former Santo Domingo Convent. It’s run by the Havana City Historian’s Office and subordinated to the University of Havana. From the academic, scientific and investigative point of view, the Saint Jerome University College of Havana is a faculty that gives the Degree on Preservation and Management of the Historical and Cultural Heritage in the first four years, and a two-year specialization on Museology, Archeology, Sociocultural Management and Urban Management. The dean and leading authority of the college is Dr. Eusebio Leal.
