MD Psychiatrist graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain and did residency in Psychiatry at Hospital Clínico San Carlos, Madrid. Is Head of Retiro Mental Health Service at Gregorio Marañon University Hospital, in Madrid. He is a member of the Spanish State Council for Addictions and is also Adviser Psychiatrist in Alcoholism, Dual Disorders for the Madrid Public Mental Health Administration. Expert at the UNODC and the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA).
Dr Szerman is Associated Professor of the Drug-Dependence Master at the Complutense University of Madrid. Has published a number of papers in international Journals, as well as numerous book chapters, and edited different scientific and educative books.
