This world forum of plural and multidisciplinary thought is convened by the José Martí Project of International Solidarity, which since 2003 has been supported by the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture; of the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI), and other international bodies.
The International Conferences FOR THE BALANCE OF THE WORLD have become important academic spaces in which hundreds of professors, social activists and intellectuals in general from all over the planet meet every three years to reflect on the main contemporary problems.
On this occasion, this world meeting, which will be the culmination of the great international day for the 170th anniversary of the birth of José Martí, Apostle of the Independence of Cuba and universal thinker, also intends to be a continuation of the Dialogue of Civilizations World Conferences and an extension of the debates of the World Congress of Humanities held in Liège, Belgium, under the auspices of UNESCO and the International Council for Philosophy and Human Sciences.
We call all people of good will, intellectuals, artists, politicians and activists to participate; to educators, writers, journalists, social activists, members of solidarity movements, political, union and religious leaders, members of non-governmental scientific, feminist, youth, peasant, environmental organizations… moved by principles of justice and equity.
We want to turn this forum of plural and multidisciplinary thought into a scenario where we contribute to sensitize world public opinion to create an awareness against the evils that afflict Humanity today and put the very existence of our species at risk.
Through commissions, panels, workshops, symposiums, youth spaces, master conferences, special interventions and other forms of reflection and debate, fundamental issues will be addressed, as befits an event of this nature and magnitude.
See our offers and participate!
